News Magazine

The department also brings out its own monthly news magazine named "EXPLORER"under the collaborative effort of the students and the faculties. The main objective behind this is to inculcate the habit of reading and directing them towards making the optimum use of the library. Such an activity brings out hteir hidden potential and developes their creativity and analytical ability. It also makes them aware of the current affairs and improves their communication skills. Such activities also foster team spirit in the students.


Seminars are conducted on regular basis.Personalities from different fields with practical experience, academic knoweldge and the requistic expertise are invited to present papers. This helps the students to keep themselves abreast with the latest trends and innovations taking place in the industries.

Paper Presentation

In order to develop communication skill, students are alloted different topics by the faculty members for making presentations before the class using LCD Projectors and components.

Observation Visits & Industrial Trips

Packed with learning power, our MLW and MHRD Programme attempts to bring out the best in the students. To ensure all round development of the students and to provide them with the knowledge about the practical application of the theoretical aspect, Department of Human Resource Development focuses on practical training. The workplace interaction is an integral part of these courses. Here the students are expected to spend whole day in an industrial set-up, observing and interacting with people, trying to assimilate and understand its working. This is an innovative concept and students acquire first hand information about the industrail set-up they have visited. This activity is all the more important and enriching as is brings an industrial atmosphere into the classroom. This kind of interaction inculcates in the students a desire to know more and to get acquainted with the latest innovations that are taking place.

Statistical Programme

The department help researchers belonging to different disciplines in the areas of data analysis. The researchers are helped in obtaining different statistics required for their study and also process their data using different statistical analysis. The students are given exposer to SPSS,Minitab and E-views.

Work Shops

Department keeps organizing various workshops throughout the year. Last year department organised around 6 workshops. They are as follows:

  3. Training Programme on Statistical Analysis Using SPSS
  4. Workshop on Regression and Time Series Analysis
  5. Training Proagramme on Advanced Statistics and Panel Data Analysis

HR Week

The department orgnaises HR Week once in a year for growth and developement of students and to make them aware with real corporate world. In HR Week experts from industries and other universities are called to deliver lecture.


Debates are organised regularly and the topics that are discussed and debated, relate to the latest development in the feild of HRM,Law and Indian Economy.


Extempore competitions are held which helps the department to have idea about the general awareness among the students related to the topic and also about their capacity of presenting their thoughts in good order within the stipulated time duration.


Quiz competitions are held to test their general knowledge. Such competitions are held on regular basis.

Essay Competition

Such competetions are held with a motive to develop writing skills among the students.

Cultural Programme

Apart from the Co-curricular activities, the students participate in activities like drama, singing, dancing,etc.. Such extra-curricular activities provide a good platform to the students to bring out their innate qualities and help in grooming the pool of talent within them.
